Children's Health Ireland and Children's Health Foundation Light- up hospitals and urgent care centres for Christmas!
Last week we had a week of festivities at the Christmas light up events across our Children’s Health Ireland hospitals and urgent care centres with the help of our wonderful staff, patients, Ambassadors, and friends.
On Tuesday 5th December we kicked off the week of celebrations at Children’s Health Ireland at Tallaght with the help of 8-year-old Lily and Mayor Alan Edge.
On Wednesday 6th December we switched on the lights in the Winter Wonderland Garden at Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin thanks to our patient Bobby and Irish Rugby star Josh van der Flier.
On Thursday 7th December we ‘lit up’ Children’s Health Ireland at Temple Street with our annual Christmas Light Switch on with a little help from 10-year-old Kayleigh, Santa Claus himself and Children’s Health Foundation Ambassador Jamie Heaslip.
Finally on Friday 8th December we finished a week of festivities at Children’s Health Ireland at Connolly with the help of superstar Senan, Dublin GAA Manger Dessie Farrell and player Cian Murphy and Children’s Health Foundation Ambassador Pete Finn. We were also joined by IPUT Real Estate who have very generously supported Christmas at CHI at Connolly for the last four years making the festive season special for so many children, families and staff.
Christmas is a magical time of year for children all over Ireland and it should be no less special for children attending hospital over the festive season. The incredible staff at Children’s Health Ireland work so hard to bring the Christmas magic to patients and their families, and these festive events signify the start of Christmas in our hospitals and urgent care centres.
