Jamie Heaslip launches ‘Clash of the Companies’ challenge for sick children

Sports legend and Children’s Health Foundation Ambassador Jamie Heaslip has helped launch a brand-new team-building challenge ‘Clash of the Companies’, taking place on 8th July in the RDS.

Following on from the hugely popular ‘Techies4TempleStreet’ treasure hunt, ‘Clash of the Companies’ is Children’s Health Foundation’s first team-building event that will raise funds for sick children across CHI at Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and Connolly and welcomes teams from all sectors of the business community. Since Techies4TempleStreet was first held in 2015, the event has raised over €1 million and helped transform the lives of thousands of sick children.

Teams will gather in the RDS on Friday, 8th July where they will face the Clash challenge and compete to be named Clash Champions 2022. All teams will compete against each other with a captivating challenge along the streets of Dublin incorporating physical, mind bending and digital challenges. Children’s Health Foundation is inviting teams of eight people to sign up from companies across Ireland.  So, whether you are based in IT or tech, banking or insurance, administration or creative, join the fun and help change the lives of seriously ill children.

Speaking at the launch of Clash of the Companies, Ambassador Jamie Heaslip said, “I am delighted to be here today to help launch this innovative fundraising challenge. I have been involved since the inaugural Techies4TempleStreet event in 2015 and have watched it flourish and grow over the years. It is wonderful to see the next phase of this exciting event – Clash of the Companies – which will raise funds to support sick children right across Children’s Health Ireland’s hospitals and urgent care centres.”

Commenting on this innovative new challenge, Denise Fitzgerald, Chief Executive of Children’s Health Foundation says, “We are so excited to launch this fun and unique event and hope that teams from all areas of the business community will join us in the RDS this July to take on the Clash challenge, all while doing something really special for sick children.”

She added, “Our much-loved Techies4TempleStreet event paved the way for Clash of the Companies and we have been so heartened over the years to see companies embrace the event. We hope that you will continue to support sick children, take on the challenge and make a real and lasting difference in the lives of so many who rely on the world-class frontline teams in Children’s Health Ireland.”
