Irish Rugby Legend, Jamie Heaslip launches ‘Clash of the Companies’ challenge for sick children

Sports legend and Children’s Health Foundation Ambassador Jamie Heaslip along with Colin Baker CEO of Back from the Future IT helped launch our fundraising challenge ‘Clash of the Companies’. This corporate team-building event is back by popular demand and will take place on Friday, 7th July in the RDS.

 

‘Clash of the Companies’ is Children’s Health Foundation’s team-building event that will raise funds for sick children across Children’s Health Ireland hospitals and urgent care centres at Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght, and Connolly. This event welcomes teams from all sectors of the business community.

Teams will gather in the RDS on Friday, 7th July where they will face the Clash challenge and vie to be named Clash Champions 2023. All teams will compete against each other with a captivating space themed treasure hunt along the streets of Dublin incorporating physical, mind bending and digital challenges. Children’s Health Foundation is inviting teams of eight people to sign up from companies across Ireland.  So, whether you are based in IT or tech, banking or insurance, administration or creative, join the fun and help change the lives of seriously ill children.

 

Speaking at the launch of Clash of the Companies, Ambassador Jamie Heaslip said, “I am, once again,  delighted to be here today to help launch this innovative fundraising challenge. It is wonderful to see the event grow and expand its reach – Clash of the Companies – will help raise funds to support sick children right across Children’s Health Ireland’s hospitals and urgent care centres.”

Commenting on this team challenge event, Hugh Kane, Interim Chief Executive of Children’s Health Foundation says, “Clash of the Companies is a much-loved team event and we have been so heartened over the years to see many companies from different industries participating. We hope that you will continue to support sick children, take on the challenge and make a real and lasting difference in the lives of so many who rely on the world-class frontline teams in Children’s Health Ireland.

 

Colin Baker added “I am so excited to be involved in launching this fun and unique event and hope that teams from all areas of the business community will join us in the RDS this July to take on the Clash challenge, all while doing something really special for sick children.” 

 

Every year, sick children and their worried families from all over Ireland come to Children’s Health Ireland hospitals and urgent care centres at Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and Connolly, in need of the expert care that only Children’s Health Ireland’s world-class teams can provide. Children’s Health Foundation is committed to supporting those children on their journeys in the hospitals and urgent care centres. Funds raised by events like these will support the vital and life-saving work that happens in Children’s Health Ireland hospitals and urgent care centres every single day, from cutting-edge equipment and a range of patient and parental supports, to making ground-breaking paediatric research possible.
