“I’m delighted to join Tommy & Co. on Ireland AM this week to chat about the young patients and their needs at Crumlin, Temple Street, Connolly and Tallaght Children’s Hospitals. It’s a really special time of year for children and we all want to keep it as special as possible for them and all their families. I’m looking forward to it”.

While on Thursday, the hosts will be joined by Professional Irish Golfer, Shane Lowry. Speaking about his upcoming appearance, Shane Lowry said:

“As an ambassador for Temple Street, I’m delighted to be involved and help raise awareness about the vital, life-saving work that happens every single day across Children’s Health Ireland. That last few years have been tough on everyone, especially the patients and staff in CHI, so it’s fantastic that we can do something to bring everyone together so close to Christmas and raise vital funds that will make a big difference to the lives of sick children.”

The breakfast show is also set to help raise awareness by supporting a fundraising appeal for Children’s Health Foundation, supporting our children’s hospitals and urgent care centre in Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and Connolly. Muireann and Tommy will also be joined by frontline workers from Children’s Health Ireland during the week to speak about the hospitals and what they do to support children from all over the country.

To add to the week, Ireland AM will help launch a raffle starting tomorrow morning at 10am until 9am on Thursday 23rd December where the winner will receive Olympic Gold Medalist, Kellie Harrington’s boxing gloves with all proceeds going to support the patients, families and staff across the hospitals.

Children’s Health Foundation is the new name for CMRF Crumlin and Temple Street Foundation which came together to form one united foundation supporting all CHI sites in Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and Connolly to ensure every sick child has the very best chance. The Foundation’s aim this Christmas is to raise vital funds to help sick kids get back to being kids.
