New CT scanner arrives!

We are delighted to update you that a new CT Scanner, made possible through the amazing fundraising by Tesco Ireland, arrived in CHI at Temple Street earlier this month! A message from our Chief Executive, Denise Fitzgerald:

“I am delighted to announce that our brand-new CT Scanner which was funded entirely by the wonderful staff and customers of Tesco Ireland was delivered and installed in CHI at Temple Street last week.

The new scanner was bought entirely with donations from our wonderful friends at Tesco and the amazing fundraising efforts of Tesco Colleagues and customers around Ireland. It shows that every single €1 at the till, cent in the collection pot and Clubcard point donated and so much more, adds up to make a huge difference to sick children right here in Ireland.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who made this new, much needed machine possible and for your continued support. A huge well done to the CHI at Temple Street Project Teams and our suppliers who have again, made the very difficult installation of this vital equipment possible!

The CT scanner followed an MRI scanner which was delivered back in May and funded entirely by supporter donations! Installation of these two machines is underway they aren’t yet operational, but and we look forward to letting you all know when they are. But they will have such a huge and positive impact for our little patients and their journeys.
