Clinical & Medical Training Funding Application

Submission Guidelines

CHF accepts funding applications from CHI hospital and urgent care centre staff for education and training to improve health services and patient care.

 

Eligibility

  • CHI staff pursuing academic study and professional training.
  • Applications must align with CHF funding pillars: New & Emerging Services, Impact Initiatives for Patients, Parents & Staff.

 

Funding Priorities

  • Direct impact on patient care.
  • Patient-focused staff with direct patient contact.
  • Applicants not receiving other funding or currently enrolled in courses.
  • Permanent staff with at least 1 year of service.

 

Funding Details

  • One application per person.
  • CHF funds 50% of course fees, up to €5,000. Requests under €1,000 are fully funded.
  • Submit documentation for all costs.
  • Travel expenses must follow CHI policies.

 

Terms & Conditions

  • Course details and accreditation are subject to review by CHF and HR at CHI.
  • A Grant Reference will be issued and must be used in all related correspondence.
  • Grant disbursement is coordinated by HR at CHI.
  • Grants are subject to HR policies if the employee leaves or cannot complete the course.
  • Travel expenses must comply with CHI Travel & Expense Policy and Education & Study Support Policy.

  • New and Emerging Medical Technologies
  • Innovations In Health 
  • Capital Development 
  • Innovation Projects

Initiatives considered appropriate for CHF funding:

  • Patient Experience and Engagement Programmes 
  • Patient & Family Supports 
  • Patient Care & Assistance 
  • Equipment 
  • Clinical Technology 
  • Education and Training

Initiatives NOT considered appropriate for donor funding:

  • Maintenance Costs 
  • Warranty Costs 
  • Repair Costs 
  • Operational ICT 
  • Subscriptions Costs
  • Annual costs
  • On-going Salary Costs 

Please note: By Submitting this proposal you confirm that all information included in this application is correct and can be used by the Foundation for information purposes. Awarded funding must be utilized within 6 months.
