Celebrating 24 Years of Fuel the Care with Top Oil
Children’s Health Foundation is delighted to celebrate our continued partnership with Top Oil and Irving Oil through the Fuel the Care programme, which marks its 24th anniversary this year.
Since 2002, Fuel the Care has helped bridge the distance between home and hospital for families travelling to receive medical care for their child. Thanks to the generosity of customers and the support of partners across Ireland, Eastern Canada and New England, more than 120,000 families have received support with their travel costs.
Introduced to Ireland by Top Oil in 2022, the programme provides fuel gift vouchers to families through its partner hospitals, helping to ease the financial burden of travelling for their child’s medical care.
Every time you visit a Top Oil location or choose Top Oil to heat your home, you’re helping give families a lift when they need it most.
Celebrating Fuel the Care Day – 18 September
On Friday, 18 September, Top Oil employees will visit select locations across Ireland to celebrate Fuel the Care Day with customers and raise awareness of the programme’s impact.
Customers will have the chance to win free fuel for a year and other exciting prizes at the following participating locations:
Top Oil Cobh Cross: Junction 3 Carrigtwohill, Cobh Cross, Co. Cork
Top Oil Newhall: Naas Enterprise Park, Newhall, Naas, Co. Kildare
Top Oil Ballina Depot: Crossmolina Road, Ballina, Co. Mayo
Throughout the campaign, Top Oil will also share the stories and experiences of families who have benefited from Fuel the Care, highlighting the difference this support makes and helping communities understand the challenges families face when travelling between home and hospital.
Care Pumps – Supporting Families Year-Round
The support doesn’t stop with Fuel the Care Day. Customers can continue to make a difference throughout the year by filling up at dedicated Top Oil Charity Pumps.
For every litre of fuel purchased at these designated pumps, one cent is donated directly to Children’s Health Foundation, at no extra cost to customers.
