A new chapter begins. The school runs are back, classrooms are busy and children are settling into a new school year.
We’re wishing Freddie, Harry, Rachel and Adam, who have all received care at Children’s Health Ireland, the very best as they return to school.
Freddie took part in the Great Irish Bake, Harry shared his story in our Christmas appeal, Rachel completed a fundraising run with her mum, and Adam took part in last year’s Trick or Treat campaign — all in support of Children’s Health Foundation.
We hope they, and all the children heading back to the classroom, have a brilliant year filled with fun, learning, friendship and happy memories.

After receiving two liver transplants for biliary atresia, Freddie is thriving and delighted to be back at school.
After spending long periods in hospital with a serious heart condition, Harry is excited to be back at school.
After several surgeries after a rare bowel condition, Rachel is thriving and delighted to be back in school.
After facing years of complex heart treatment, a transplant and cancer, Adam is now enjoying being back at school and living life to the fullest.
