How It Works
1. Sign up
Sign up to our Walk to Remember. Once you’ve raised €50 or more, you’ll receive a your remembrance candle.
2. Walk 1km a day
Walk 1km every day in October, on your own or with others. Miss a day? Just make it up later.
3. Light your candle
On 2 November, light your candle with us in memory of someone you love, wherever you are. Share your light with #ALightToRemember.

Walk at least 1km a day for the month of October in memory of someone you love. Every kilometre helps raise funds for paediatric research, equipment and services for sick children and their families.
Registering is quick and easy. Simply click the ‘Register’ button on our Enthuse page – link- fill in your details, and you’ll be signed up in minutes. Once registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email with everything you need to get started, including a link to set up your personal fundraising page.
Every euro raised goes directly to the Children’s Health Foundation, which funds groundbreaking paediatric research, life-saving equipment, new and emerging services and support for thousands of sick children and their families across Ireland. Your fundraising makes a real and lasting difference.
On All Souls’ Night, 2 November, at 8pm. Walkers across the country light theirs at the same hour. You’re welcome to share a photo with #ALightToRemember, or keep the moment private.
We encourage you to register as early as possible but there is no deadline and registration is open throughout the month of October.

Absolutely. Register individually and join your colleagues in the supporter community, or email the events team for a dedicated workplace registration.
Participants under 18 are welcome to take part with the full consent and supervision of a parent or guardian. We ask that parents or guardians register on behalf of younger participants.
When you click the ‘Register’ button and complete your sign-up, you will be guided through setting up your personal fundraising page. You can personalise it with your own message and photo to encourage your supporters to donate.
Your fundraising page will remain open for a period after the challenge ends so that supporters can still donate once you’ve completed the challenge. We will communicate the exact closing date to participants.
Once your fundraising page is set up, you can share the link via email, WhatsApp, text message, and on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok. Friends, family, and colleagues can make secure online donations directly through your page.
Yes. If you collect cash donations, please contact us at [email protected] for guidance on how to lodge these funds. We want to ensure every euro raised is received safely.

Because this is an online challenge, we don’t provide sponsorship cards. All fundraising is done through your online fundraising page, which makes it easy to share with friends and family and collect donations in one place.
